Mental Health Awareness
Mental Health Awareness Month was started in the United States in 1949 by the National Association for Mental Health.
Mental Health is a subject that has made National news in our area of Stark County over the past year. The CDC
(Center for Disease Control) has spent time in Stark County over the past several months doing studies on
our community, as suicide is currently considered an epidemic in our area. The Stark County Mental Health &
Addiction Recovery center is doing their part to educate and empower those in our community and local
schools so that Stark County can become a place of “zero suicide.” Using the executive team as motivation,
employees could make a donation for a chance to dunk their boss. Our donation will help support Stark County's
mission and training programs. If you with to browse their website for further information, please visit here.
